School reading challenge

This week we have 3 more children who have gained their reading challenge certificates. Well done.

We also have 3 more children who have managed to gain their second reading challenge certificate. Well done boys.

This weeks class superstar

Our superstar this week has become a confident reader. He enjoys doing all of his work in school but is particularly good at reading. Keep it up, well done 😀

 

Baking buns

This week we have made buns in class as part of our food topic. The children were in small groups and took it in turns to add the ingredients and stir the mixture. Mrs Lewin put them in the oven to bake.

This weeks class superstar

This week our superstar is someone who is a superstar every week. She is a popular member of the class who has a go at anything and does her best with all of her work. Keep it up.

 

Gingerbread Men

This week we have read the story of the gingerbread man and done lots of activities around this theme, including making our own gingerbread men or ladies. As you can see in the pictures below, we all had fun and enjoyed making them.

Bread making

This week we have been continuing with our food topic and we made a loaf of bread. We measured out all the ingredients and took it in turns to knead the bread. We waited for it to rise then put it in the oven. Later that day we all enjoyed a slice of freshly baked bread. Everyone loved it.

 

This weeks class superstar

Our superstar this week is always keen to join in with class discussions. He listens carefully then shares his great ideas with the rest of the class. Keep it up, we love listening to what you've got to say 😀

 

School reading challenge

This week we have another girl who has gained her school reading challenge, well done 😀

We also have 3 very keen readers who have now achieved their 2nd certificate. This is fantastic, we are very proud of them 😀

 

Our Spring Walk

This week we all put our coats and wellies on and went out on a spring walk around the school grounds. We looked for signs of spring and listened to the birds singing.

Our other superstar

Our other superstar this week has shown us all just how kind and caring he can be. He noticed a child needed help from a grown up and quickly told a teacher. He then continued to show his kindness to them by looking after and playing nicely with his friend. We are all very proud of him 😀

 

This weeks superstars

This weeks first superstar has made good progress in his reading at school and at home. He has also shown us how grown up and sensible he can be, especially now that he is a big brother 😀

Book Week dressing up

Today we have all dressed up as a book character. Everyone looked amazing, thank you all so much for all the effort you put in to your child's costume. Here's some photos for you to look at.

Reading with a year 3 class

This week is our schools book week. During the week we will be looking at a variety of books and joining in with different activities. Today we had a visit from class 3M. They chose a partner from the children in our class, then sat and read to each other. Everyone enjoyed the experience.
