Christmas Party Day
On Thursday we all enjoyed our reception Christmas party. There was lots of dancing, singing, party games, prizes, food and a special visit from Father Christmas who gave everyone a present.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Our school reading challenge
The following children have gained their first golden ticket for reading their school reading books at least 3 times a week for 10 weeks. They all received a free book to take home and a certificate.
Well done, keep it up.

This weeks class superstar
This week our superstar has learnt every single word to every song in our Christmas nativity play and sings loudly and clearly during all of our practices. We can't wait to let all the parents watch our play and I'm sure they will hear our fantastic singer 🎤

Speakers in the Christmas Nativity
Today everyone has been told their part in the Christmas nativity play. Some children will be bringing home words to learn as they have a speaking part. Please can you help your child to learn the words using a clear, loud voice.
Thank you for your support.

Children in need
Today in class we have spoken about children in need. Everyone made a Pudsey bear and decorated a biscuit with spots.
Babies
This week we have been talking about babies. The children have been playing with dolls and having lots of fun. If anyone has a 'real' baby that they could bring into school next week to show the class and answer questions from the children, please speak to Mrs Bateson.
Our Class Superstar
Every Thursday we will be choosing a class superstar. This is given to a child for all sorts of reasons. For example, being kind, helpful, good tidying up, doing well with their reading, writing or number work. The superstar is given a badge to wear all week, they get a special cushion to sit on at carpet time and they have an owl teddy that they can play with in school. They also go into assembly with years 1 and 2 to celebrate being the weeks superstar. The badge needs to be returned to school on Thursdays so the next superstar can wear it.
Thank you
